TP1 – Costermano sul Garda and its parks
Starting points: Costermano sul Garda, Castion, Marciaga, CampagnolaCostermano sul Garda has one goal: to create the right conditions for the healthy habits of outdoor sport, spending time together and playing safely. To do this it is building a series of thematic parks: two are already open to locals and visitors – the Parco dell’Amicizia dei Popoli (Friendship of Peoples Park) in Costermano sul Garda and the Parco dello Sport (Sports Park) in Marciaga – and a third, the Parco dei Percorsi (Trails Park) in Castion, is under construction. The three are linked by footpaths, cycle and pedestrian paths and connecting roads.
This trail invites you to discover all three, getting to know on foot the natural landscape of the area, which is ideal for enjoying the outdoors. More parks are planned: we will keep you posted!

What you’ll see along the way
The Parco dell’Amicizia dei Popoli is a large green space with a picnic area, lime trees, holm oaks, rowans and various shrubs, as well as a bio-lake: a pond whose water is cleaned by plants, that is, in a natural way.
Next to the park is the German War Cemetery, opened in 1967 and run by a German association. On the terraced slope of a hill, divided into sections by heather hedges, lie soldiers who died in the war far from home. There is a small museum at the entrance, and from the highest point there is a fine view over the Gulf of Garda and the park.
The Parco dei Percorsi in Castion is an urban park designed to encourage a range of sports: a space for play and sport, but also, and above all, for meeting people.
The Parco dello Sport in Marciaga invites you to be active outdoors, with stations linked by a long, winding gravel path set in greenery. Children have a safe playground, while teenagers and adults can try the climbing wall, a nod to the nearby Sengie di Marciaga, known for their sport-climbing crags. To relax there is the bici grill, a refreshment point for park visitors and passing cyclists, with a bike repair area.
Not far from the Parco dello Sport there is a dog park, where four-legged friends can move, run and play freely, and try out the agility course.
Campagnola is a historic hamlet of stone houses, most of them well restored and lived in.
